CYPRUS. Lapethos. Sidqmelek, circa 450-425 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 11.06 g, 10 h). 'King of Lapethos' (in Phoenician) Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. 'Sidqmelek' (in Phoenician) Head of Athena facing within incuse square, wearing helmet decorated with bull's horns, each with crest attached, and bull's ears. BMC 7-9. Tziambazis 48. Struck from heavily worn dies and with a scratch on the obverse and a test cut on the reverse, otherwise, good fine.
